( A) Corporate Pro”s- Financed, manufactured, Distributed, Marketed, Produced, Promoted, P.R Publicity and most important paid Advances and royalties ! ( B) Corporate Con”s are little to no equity, publishing, royalties, copyrights or trademarks when your contract is up ! Also believe it or not it does not matter on what financial agreement you signed, they will pay you when they feel like it ? Independent Pro”s are control cash flow, 100% ownership of publishing,equity, copyrights, creative control, and trademarks ! ( C) Independent Con”s is that you must self finance everything I listed In section ( A ) of Corporate Pro”s ? The Facts in the Entertainment industry are ( 1 ) - Ninety percent of this industry is about stealing your ideas and creative work. ( 2 ) The people stealing and selling your work are business people , nothing personal. ( 3 ) When and if you ever get paid , you must understand that people have already made tens of millions of dollars off you, That”s just the way it is in this crazy industry! For example in 1993, I Cedric Shabazz attempted to sue Rap Artist/ Actor- ICE-T for copyright infringement on a comic book character called The Black Savior, you can read all about in The Fremont Argus Newspaper ( Archives ) August 1993. I signed the contingency agreement with my San Francisco based Lawyer- Peter Frank but I did not know that he already made a deal with ICE-T- lawyer at the time Eric Greenspan ! Results nothing, a waste of time and stress,but a priceless lesson, never sue anybody in this industry, just make sure they do not stop you from making money off you works.
